The founder
Emma Brajkovic
Emma Brajkovic’s first introduction to the world of wine, was when she was a child, through the eyes of her parents, who owned and managed a restaurant in Paris specialized in Wines and Champagnes. She was regularly attending wine auctions at l’Hôtel Drouot while her parents purchased famous named bottles for the family gastronomic business. She loved to go down to the cellar with her father, to check the storage conditions of the precious bottles, a special place where time seemed to stay still.
A childhood in Paris, infused by a gastronomic background, followed by the International School of Paris before a passage at University College London with a Bachelor in Geology. Having built a successful career in other business fields in Paris (France) and in Mallorca (Spain), Emma had always wine on her mind.
She dedicated a large part of her time to her passion, combining a family, a busy business career and the obtention of her wine certifications: WSET 2 with distinction and her diploma of Spanish Wine Educator with distinction from the American College in Spain affiliated to the Broward College of Florida (USA). Pursuing with a Master in Champagne, as wine knowledge never ends.
Emma’s work as an Educator, Wine Communicator, and Wine Buyer shined through with the creation of the Wine Academy Mallorca where she organizes events for individuals and companies.
She is combining sharing her wine-knowledge in a fun and relaxed manner, with a selection of wines or champagnes paired in a four-course menu, specially created for the venue by one of the leading chefs of Mallorca.
Emma has a strong belief that wine should not be intimidating and should be open to a wider clientele.
